Melissa Harrison is an English novelist, short story and nature writer from Surrey. Harrison studied English Literature at Oxford University and afterwards worked as a freelance column subeditor for Times, The Guardian and for some radio stations and television. Harrison is famous for her novels such as โ€œClayโ€, โ€œAt Hawthorn Timeโ€ as well as for her non-fiction books like โ€œRain: Four Walks in English Weatherโ€, โ€œAll Among The Barleyโ€ and the short story โ€œThe Black Dogโ€.
