Full name: James Pumphrey
Occupation: Donut Media editor in chief
Youtube Chanel: Donut Media
James Pumphrey has some curious tattoos. Among them the words “I love James Pumphrey” with the red heart inked on his left upper arm and a peace symbol just below them. The same arm carries a laconic statement „Jusqu’ici tout va bien”, which means in English “So far, so good”. Another funny saying “I want to eat lightning and I never want to die” with the image of Bart Simpson`s face is tattooed on his upper right hand. On the backside of the same arm one can see a pretty big star. Moreover, Pumphrey has an “empowerd by Dodge” tattoo, which is inked on the right side of his body and for which (according to his own words) he got $10K from Dodge.

On Tuesday night I started getting weird pains in my shoulders and neck by Wednesday morning it had spread to my jaw and down my right arm. By the time I got to the office my right hand was tingling so I drove myself to the ER. I was hoping to wrap it up by noon so I could go shoot bumper2bumper. They ran some tests and told me that I had been having a heart attack for the past 12 hours. I’m 34. Within a few hours I was in the angio lab and they were running a tube from my right wrist through an artery all the way to my heart. Turns out I had another heart attack about six months ago and two of the three arteries that feed my heart had 100% blockage. Again, I’m 34 years old. They were able to clear one artery and added a stint to keep it open. The other artery was rock hard but my body had grown collateral vessels to feed itself so it’s now getting sufficient blood flow. Apparently I have really bad genetics when it comes to my heart. I should have known. My dad died of a heart attack when he was 48 and my older sister had a similar experience to me before she turned 30. I should have been taking care of myself. I don’t exercise. I eat like shit. I smoked for 15 years. I’m taking this as a second chance to turn it all around. I’m going to do everything I can every day to stay here for as long as possible. I wanna thank all of the doctors, nurses and technologists at UCLA medical center for saving my life. I want to thank the team at Donut for telling me to focus on getting well and they’d take care of the rest. And I want to thank Kasey for sitting with me the entire time and being by my side as I change literally every aspect of my life style. I’m home and recovering well. You might see some new and familiar faces subbing in to host my shows in the next cpl months. I’ll be back soon, stronger than ever with a bunch of running jokes and anecdotes about the craziest experience of my entire life. I love you. 💪🐴🐍⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
